Fabulous location! In Old Town within walking distance to pebbly beach and rocky beach. Good value. Renata was a very helpful and a gracious host.

Room with a view to die for and what a location!!!
Di bcps7TampaFL (Tampa FL, Stati Uniti), June 2009
We cannot give enough accolades to apartment renata. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Dubrovnik. The location and view from the apartment was 5-star. The was centrally located in the old town but yet you heard none of the noise. The view overlooked the harbor and throughout the day or night, regardless of the time, you could spend hours sitting and and gazing at all the activity and people. The unit had a computer with internet access, a fully equipped kitchen, and very clean and well kept bathroom. The bedroom had a beautiful view as well, yet was nice, dark and cool. One major advantage to the apartment was it was less than 5 minutes to Buza Beach, which capture my heart and soul entirely. The apartment is tricky to find, but once you do, its a piece of cake, Renata went out of her way to help us find it when we arrived. She is the best! When we go back to Dubrovnik, we absolutely will stay there again, or plan our dates otherwise so that we can!

Over 1100 years ago, they built the wall next to our room
Di BelindaSanFrancisco (San Francisco, Stati Uniti), March 2009
Location. Location. Location. While it took a little bit of detective work, it wasn't too difficult to find Renata's place. I have to admit that part of the difficulty was that my husband was navigating and I couldn't believe that we were actually living in the old town for 33 euros a night. "John, we have to be going in the wrong direction!" It was dark. We were tired.
But then we found it. And that night we stayed within the confines of a Unesco World Heritage Site. For 33 euros! It's ridiculous.
I have to admit, it's not going to be for everyone. It's someone's home. The floors creak when you try to tiptoe to the bathroom at night. Coming from a land where everything is supersized, this is a bit on a smaller scale.
But the rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable. I can see the wall from my window. And if I was daring (and stupid?) enough, I could jump out the window, try to do a 007 type of leap and land on the city wall (and get away with not paying the fare to walk along the walls). I paid the fare.
And last but not least, Renata and her husband and simply wonderful.

Old Town Charm
Di lbrubaker (Philadelphia, Stati Uniti), November 2008
Renata has a lovely home....set in the back alleys of Old Town, just over the wall from the harbor. We stayed in the smaller apartment that faced the town, but it has it's own bathroom and shower along with a huge antique hutch. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and fresh towels provided. If you leave your window open at night you can really experience the neighborhood sounds and atmosphere - which I enjoyed. You feel transported back to another time and space. The only downside of the room is a very small hot water heater that will give you about 5 minutes of a hot shower. Lather and rinse quick!! All in all it was a very comfortable stay!

Charming, well-located guesthouse
Di ambruhn (New York City, Stati Uniti), August 2008
We found Renata through Rick Steve's and were very happy with our room. We chose to share a bathroom in preference of a view of the harbor--such a nice thing to come home to. It was a little warm (no a/c), but there were cool breezes that came through the window. Renata was so friendly, and was so trusting to keep our reservation without a deposit.

Incredible Room Views, Ideal Old Town Location
Di jdmosk4 (Cambridge, Regno Unito), June 2008
Renata is a gracious host and she runs a great house. Keep in mind that this place is not that easy to find. Once you do find it though, you shouldn't have problems finding it again throughout your stay as it is near the Martitime Museum and an entrance to the City Walls. Wonderfully centrally located our room had the sea view and was very comfortable and home-y. If you can get over sharing a bathroom with another room you'll have no problems - although Renata does have rooms with their own bathrooms. Given its location, room size and overall appearance, Renata's House has to be one of the best deals in all of Old Town.

Can't beat location and view
Di barenakednut (Virginia, Stati Uniti), October 2007
Renata is a gem! Her home is lovely - simple, with a great view, down a quiet alley in the Old City on the Ploce end of the Stradum. While it is a little hard to find, it is a great value and not to be missed if you want to stay in the Old City.
While in Dubrovnik, use NetCafe if you need to use an Internet cafe - I tried most of them in town and outside the gates. This one is not the cheapest (30kn/hr, approx U$6/hr), but definitely the most friendly and the cleanest. Also a reasonably priced drink menu.
In addition, if you want to scuba dive, I had some trouble with some of the local dive shops, but had a great experience with Blue Planet. Anto (the dive master) is very nice and his shop is located at the waters edge at the Dubrovnik Palace hotel in Lapad. (Take the number 4 bus for 8kn to the end from the Pile Gate.)

What a gem
Di judymDurham (durham, Stati Uniti), October 2007
Just back from a great week in Dubrovnik. City was just lovely - make sure you walk the city walls and use boats to see the surrounding coast.
Apartment was a little difficult to find in the dark but after some help from locals we located and met Renata who is very hospitable.
Apartment was clean and functional but he views are to die for. It was great just to open the wondows and take in the view over the harbour.
Will definitely go back - anyone who wants to experience the city stay here this location is not to be missed!!!!
